We will be working on sourcing more uppers - we will not take customer supplied uppers - Please watch our instagram updates channel for updates on this - If we are able to obtain more we will run another batch

We are currently shipping Batch 3 Cag Tan 416 and have begun preparations for Batch 3.5. Upper receiver conversion work to begin mid July. All parts are anodized together for the best color consistency. We use two high end anodizing outfits for Tan and Black, each specialize in the matching the German Finishes. We use original contract HK Ral8000 7075 416D parts as our reference.

This has been one of the most challenging projects we’ve undertaken. Converting and refinishing the HK uppers to the correct A3 specs required substantially more time, labor, and expense than originally anticipated. Batch 3 allowed us to refine every step of the process, and Batch 3.5 benefits directly from everything we learned this time with some new options. Estimated delivery is December. As with any low-volume custom project delays are possible, however we are starting immediately.

Optional Marking Upgrade: Please read carefully

We do not reproduce HK trademarks, including the HK logo or the original right side receiver mfr. markings. However, the markings we do offer are reproduced 1:1, eliminating one more detail for a third party to get wrong. All you need to finish the lower is have the left and right magwell engraving added.

Add period-correct, 1:1 recreated original German font, faux serial number within the correct contract era range on both the upper and lower (formatted/located to match the original weapons). You can have matching upper and lower serials as they were originally delivered OR the upper will be engraved with another serial from the original range and crossed out like many of the originals photographed. Then re-engraved with the correct serial from the lower receiver just like the originals.

Correctly formatted data tag reproduced from original CAG reference examples. Our data tags are produced on the proper MIL-STD-130 material using the correct layout and format for an authentic appearance. We sourced the material from the same place the gov. and its contractors do. There are cheaper options on the wrong material, but do not wear or look correct.

****Over 100 hours of research and development went into these markings, including 70 hours refining the artwork and 100+ test engravings on tan hardcoat anodizing for each specific marking to achieve the correct appearance. An additional 40+ hours were spent researching original reference material to ensure the fonts, layout, serial ranges, and data are period correct.****

- CAG Specific Bushing Retaining Roll Pin Hole is drilled with factory HK bushing installed, each bushing is timed to that specific upper, the upper is then refinished professionally. We then reinstall the specific bushing to each upper and pin them in place with phosphated custom made pins like the factory

Options:

SERIAL NUMBER lowers will have a short 5 digit SN on bottom, see photos. Have your engraver add matching upper serial on the side like HK does after anodizing.

BLACK Lower: Mil Spec German satin ano 1:1 match to military uppers
CAG TAN Lower Upper Set: There are four shades of Tan Ral8000 anodizing seen in the contract CAG guns, technically five. We have dialed in two shades, lighter early contract tan and darker tan/bronzeish green using factory cag contract RAL8000 unserialized parts we have access to.
